Look to the heavens

A new cd coming out in Iceland covering old Gospel songs but with a very icelandic feel to it. Among some of the songs is Swing low, Go down Moses and Shall we gather at the river and many more.All the lyrics have been translated into icelandic. The music arrangments are done by my friend Karl Olgeirsson. The singers featured on the cd are myself Margret Eir, Eirikur Hausksson and Pall Oskar

Postcard from New York

This winter I´ll have a so called Postcard from New York on Poppland Iceland public radio.  My insert will air every monday, somewhere between 3 and 4 icelandic time. You´ll have to figure out what time it is then where you are.  In the postcard I´ll talk about things like music, food,the weather and of course the colorful people I meet here and other things. New song, new look

In the next days, I´ll be releasing two songs on a summer collection cd called 100% Summer. One of the songs is written by a friend of mine Karl Olgeirsson and I wrote the lyrics. Its called My heart belongs to you. This song, I worked with Dan Grennes in New York. The other one is an old icelandic pop song called Ástarsæla (Sweet love). The MoR duett performes this song. It will be my honor to sing the part of Beth in Jeff Wayne´s War of the Worlds with the Icelandic symphony orchestra on febuary 23. With me is also Jon Josef Snæbjörnsson and Friðrik Ómar Hjörleifsson. Jon Josef (also called Jonsi) is on of Icelands most popular pop singer and Friðrik is the recent singer phenomenon. The Narrator will be played by Johann Sigurðarson (Icelandic actor). Director is Sigurður Sigurjónsson. Director of the Icelandic symphony is Bernhard Wilkinson.

Nights in white satin
I will be performing in Mummis dance piece at Tisch 5 floor Theater. There are only three people in this piece, me singing Nights in White satin, Mummi dancing and he is also the choreographer and the lovely Christy will be dancing.
